C. Shell Creations was founded by Carla Blackburn as a creative outlet for her vast seashell collection. Carla has been picking up shells since she was a little girl. Her passion evolved after visiting Sanibel Island, Florida, and she became fascinated with the history of each shell. She began researching the names, origins, and habits of the treasures she collected. As an artist and watercolorist, she wanted to share the beauty of her finds with others, in hopes that they would be as enchanted with the shells as she was.
